all good though...

one of the drinking buddies was my boss, who owed me a few hundred dollars for the two day survey that we conducted at the end of august. he even paid me in cash! yay!

now i'm gonna buy a couple things that i've been cheap about. you ebay buyers ever have that string of 'items to watch' that you really want...but don't need? hell, most of the things on eBay are things that we don't need anyway...

well, i just won a Margaret Cho concert CD that was just released not too long ago. i was outbid, but decided to put out a little extra money for it. really, i was gonna run it up another dollar just to spite the person who outbid me...but it backfired. ah well, i'm still getting it for a coupla dollars less (including shipping) than if i were to get it through Amazon.com; i can't complain. and besides, she's totally worth it. she is one comic who can make my day. some of my other favorites:

George Carlin...Louie Anderson...Rita Rudner...Judy Tenuta...Bill Cosby...Lily Tomlin.

btw, Margaret Cho is still out on her Revolution tour. unfortunately, it already passed through Denver in March. and where was i? out of town...grrr. it was the second tour of hers that i had missed. she was in Denver a couple years ago. again...i was out of town. uncanny. is there a pattern here? oh, wondering when Margaret Cho is passing through town again? well, lemme check MY itinerary. it is rumored that Miz Cho will not tour Denver unless that lunatic chinese guy is out of town...

surprisingly, i did catch her " I'm The One That I Want "tour the two times it hit Denver in '99 and '00. it was one of two tours that have been made available on VHS/DVD. the other was Notorious C.H.O., which wasn't as funny - good material though, even thought provoking.

in addition to the Margaret Cho CD, i've been eyeing some books on bookcloseouts.com too. in fact, i've had about a dozen books in my cart for a couple months now. i just was always talking myself out of buying them, saying that i didn't need more books. true...but such a hard reality to face.

so, as a compromise, i'm going to just get seven of the twelve. it'll save me some bookcase space and maybe $20 that can go towards something else. maybe even something useful...nah.
